I came to security from outside the field, which turns out to be a reasonable way to arrive — nothing is obvious yet, so nothing gets skipped.

Most of my time goes into the defensive side — governance, risk and compliance — plus enough offensive practice to understand what the defence is actually for.

All of this is a private interest, pursued for its own sake. Nothing here is on offer.
